    Sapir Weiss

    Training consultant

    Sapir Weiss has been a professional dog trainer and entrepreneur for over 40 years. As a specialist in canine behavior disorders, he has taught over ten thousand owners and their dogs how to communicate and foster more effective relationships. His highly versatile career has included developing a program for National Institutes of Health (NIH) training dogs to locate malaria mosquitoes in Mali, training bomb, drug, and bedbug detection dogs, training K-9 units and their handlers, as well as developing anti-terrorist dog units for the Israeli Defense Forces. He has served as a consultant to various animal shelters, worked with PG&E developing its dog bite prevention program, and continues to serve as an expert witness in dog aggression litigation.

    Sapir has recently retired and is currently focusing on his passion of developing innovative scent detection dog training programs.

    Stephanie Taunton

    Training consultant

    Stephanie is a Professional well-certified dog trainer and founder of Bow Wow Production, training many species of animals for professional films and productions, and has trained ‘everything from cockroaches to elephants’. She is an Accredited California state-certified dog trainer, one of the best titles, held by only a few trained professionals.

     

    Stephanie has trained many successful dog trainers who now have prosperous careers of their own. She has travelled the world for training dogs and exotic animals for movies and television. Stephanie is the co-author of the well-received training book “The Trick is in the Training”.

    Laska Parrow

    Training consultant

    Laska has been training animals with positive reinforcement since a young age. Inspired as a child, she trained her cat how to walk on a leash and basic obedience skills. Finally her father agreed that she could foster and train dogs. She has been involved with training assistance dogs since 2000 and got involved in pet dog training in 2003. Helping others with their pets led Laska to spend 7 years working at her local humane society. During her time there she taught reactive and fearful dog classes, as well as in-home training for cats and other small animals.

    Laska is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), and an Associate Nose Work Instructor (ANWI). She enjoys working with dogs, cats and has a passion for K9 Nose Work. Laska is currently sharing her life with four large dogs and one cat.
